Our Town hosts LEGO Block Party

| July 1, 2019

COSHOCTON – A LEGO Block Party brought kids and adults downtown on June 29 for some late-morning fun. The event on the corner of Hickory and Main streets was organized by Our Town Coshocton and refreshments were provided by Linnet’s Flowers on the Square. “Barb Karr, our past president, saw another community do this and thought it was fun and colorful,” said Tom Barcroft, the current president of Our Town Coshocton. “We thought we’d try it. The kids seem to be having a good time.” Those who attended were encouraged to use the blocks to fill cracks in the wall of the building facing Hickory Street. “They (the blocks) will stay there as long as the weather will allow them to,” Barcroft said. “We’ve even had some nice people bring LEGOs down to help.” He also appreciated the help of Andi Ellis and Tyler Maple who helped kids try to build the tallest tower of blocks they possibly could.
