Pamela “Pam” Sue Asire
Pamela “Pam” Sue Asire, 77, of Coshocton passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Morrison Hospice House in Zanesville. She was born in Coshocton on September 23, 1947.
Pam worked as a waitress for many years at local restaurants including Newberry’s, Coshocton Elks Lodge and Bob Evan’s. She enjoyed watching hallmark movies, playing bingo, “rescuing” her grandchildren, drinking McDonalds coffee, playing Hausey, and spending time with her family and dogs, Tootsie, Zeus, and Precious.
Pam is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim Asire; sons Jay (Wendy) Asire and Robert (Trudi) Moore both of Coshocton; grandchildren Vance Briner, Hailei (Josh) Loper, Nasya and Magdelyn “Magi” Asire, Crystal Uribarre and Johnny Moore; great grandchildren Riddick, Gwen, Dom, Valaric, Kenadi, Emberlynn, Stanley, Paisley, and Damon; Siblings Rick Phelps and Tom Hawthorne; sisters-in-law Sue (Denny) Adams and Naomi (Joe) Shaw; special cousins Vanessa and Jeff Swigert; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pam is preceded in death by her mother Margaret (Gephart) Hawthorne; stepfathers Dick Phelps and Duane “Skunky” Hawthorne; and grandson Steven “Scuba” Moore.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards Miller Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
