Pastor Gary Lee Weller
Pastor Gary Lee Weller, 77, of Fresno went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 with his family by his side.
Gary was born in Warsaw to the late Roy and Dorothy (Foultz) Weller on March 1, 1936. Gary served as the pastor at Riley Chapel Baptist Church of Danville, Ohio for 29 years. He was a police officer in Holmesville. Gary also was a police officer for Apple Creek Developmental Center for 27 years, and a member of the United States Chaplain Association of Ohio.
Gary is survived by his wife Gloria (McVay) Markley-Weller who he married June 3, 1971. Gary is also survived by his children Jim (Diana) Weller of Fresno, Dale (Beverly) Weller of Coshocton, Roy (LeeAnn) Weller of Smithville, Larry (Sally)Weller of Rittman, Joe (Bobbi Jo) Weller of West Lafayette, Don (Theresa) Markley of Orrville, Loretta (Shawn) Murphy, Sherry (Jim) Daugherty all of Fresno, Randy (Dawn) Markley of West Lafayette, and an adopted son Dylan Montana Markley of the home; 25 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother Rev. Glen R. (Carol) Weller of Brooksville, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor James Walser officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Free Funeral Home.
