Patricia ‘Pat’ Carol Mathias
Patricia “Pat” Carol Mathias, age 89, of Coshocton passed away on February 25, 2025 at her residence. She was born March 17, 1935 to Dale and Eilene (Simpkins) Wright Norris in Coshocton, Ohio.
On August 21, 1952, she married her late husband, Adrian Mathias. He passed away on January 9, 1999.
Pat was a wonderful seamstress who had the ability to make anything, even her own clothes. She was also a lover of animals, especially her dogs. She was a lifelong member of the Moose and Eagles, as well as being a devoted member of the Canal Lewisville Methodist Church, VFW, and American Legion. Additionally, Pat was a dedicated member of her card club for almost 70 years.
Pat is survived by her sons, Brett (Cheryl Burlingame) Mathias of Fresno and Brad Mathias of Canal Lewisville; her brothers, Dale (Dixie) Wright of Coshocton and Sheldon Wright of Newcomerstown; her sisters, Dixie (Jon) Mathias of West Lafayette and Linda Neighbor of Coshocton; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, alongside several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Daniel Lee Norris, husband, and sons, Brian Mathias and Bart Mathias.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 10:00 am with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating. A private burial will take place at South Lawn Cemetery.
