Pauline Lucille Endsley Waters

Pauline Lucille Endsley Waters, age 101, of Windsorwood Place in Coshocton, passed away on February 6, 2016.  She was born on May 3, 1914 in Coshocton County to the late Elmer J. and Toinette (DeBerry) Endsley. Pauline graduated from Keene High School in 1931 and graduated from Ashland College in 1934. She taught at Drakes Valley School in Holmes County for two years, at Keene Elementary School for ten years, at West Lafayette Elementary School for two years, and substituted extensively.

Pauline and Paul Waters, who preceded her in death on July 5, 1999, were married on June 29, 1946 and had two children, Wendell L. Waters (Marcia) of West Lafayette and Lana Waters Liu (Tony) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. They are also survived by five grandchildren: Angie Waters Edie (Randy) of West Lafayette, Erin Waters Ferris (Ryan) of Dover, Greg Waters (Jenny) of West Lafayette; Nicholas Liu (Nelly) of Asheville, NC, Tana Liu-Beers (Chris) of Durham, NC, and nine great-grandchildren: Mallory and Allison (Angie and Randy); Kailey, Megan, and Breyer (Erin and Ryan); Cannon and Brynn (Greg and Jenny);  Miriam (Tana and Chris) and Indira (Nick and Nelly).

Pauline was a long-time and active member of the Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church, the Keene Happy Neighbors Extension Club, West Lafayette Junior Guild, Farm Bureau, Grange, Card Club, “Gourmet Gals” and Coshocton Retired Teachers Society. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Coshocton Memorial Hospital for ten years, with the Bloodmobile for eight years, and at the West Lafayette Care Center/Lafayette Pointe for 27 years. .

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church with Reverend Don Dolick officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made in Pauline’s name to the Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church 198 E. Church Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 or to Health Service of Coshocton County “Hospice”, 230 S. 4th Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
