Pearl Olean Deibel

Pearl Olean Deibel, 95, of Fresno passed away Saturday October 24, 2015 at her home.

She was born in Fresno on August 29, 1920 to the late Ralph and Bertha (McFarland) Honabarger.

On November 2, 1941 she married Carter Deibel, whom passed away in 1980.

She was a graduate of Fresno High School and Coshocton Business College. She spent many years helping on the family farm and homemaking. During World War II she worked at Moores Enameling, Jones Metal, and drove school bus. Olean was very devoted to her religion and was a member of Renner’s United Church of Christ and Progressive Valley Grange. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events, watching Ohio State basketball, cooking for her family and spending time with her loved ones. She also enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her flowers. Her motto for life was “treat others how you would want to be treated”.

Olean is survived by her children Judy (Chester) Mizer of Newcomerstown, Linda (Russell) Gibbs of Fresno, and Gary (Debbie) Deibel of Fresno; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her daughter Kay Ricketts and son-in-law Edward “Rick” Ricketts.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday October 28, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at Renner’s United Church of Christ at 12:00 PM with Rev. Eric Walch officiating. Interment will follow at Renner’s Cemetery.

Contributions may be directed toward Renner’s United Church of Christ or Renner’s Cemetery Fund, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
