Pell named Executive Director of Coshocton Foundation
COSHOCTON – Robert W. (Bob) Pell was named Executive Director of the Coshocton Foundation, replacing Kathy Thompson, who is retiring.
A Coshocton resident since 1987, Pell is a native of New Philadelphia and graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1976. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in accounting from Akron University, and also earned an MBA in executive management from Ashland University.
Pell is a Leadership Coshocton County graduate and has held several leadership positions in his church and CHS football and girls soccer boosters. He has served as a board member and co-chair of the United Way annual campaign, and is currently a Coshocton City Council member-at-large. He has a background in management accounting and general management, and for the last 15 years, has been agent/owner of his own insurance agency in Newcomerstown.
He and his wife Michelle have been married for 32 years and are the parents of four adult children.
The Coshocton Foundation was established in 1966 through the will of Adolph Golden, who was proprietor of a women’s clothing store on Main Street. Through the years, the foundation has grown and distributed millions of dollars in local grants and scholarships.
