Peoples Bank gives back to their customers during Community Celebration

| June 22, 2015

COSHOCTON – In spite of the rainy weather, Peoples Bank’s back parking lot was filled with people huddled under tents enjoying music, food, and fellowship during the Community Celebration on Friday, June 19 from 4 – 7 p.m.

“Peoples Bank is very involved in the community,” said Phil Hunt, branch manager. “This is a lot of fun and it gives the community an opportunity to win fun prizes and fellowship with each other. We’ve had an excellent turn out for this kind of weather. ”

Those who attended had the chance to win a drill from Coshocton Lumber, a bike and grill from Auer Ace Hardware, a television, and a gift card from Hardesty’s Extended Care.

“A lot of these people are customers of ours,” said Hunt. “They’ve reached out to us to be their bank. Now, we need to reach out to them and be their customers as well.”

In addition to the food and prizes, there were activities for the kids including a bounce house and face painting.

Another way Peoples Bank has helped the community was through a contest with other branches in neighboring counties last spring that ended with Kids America awarded $10,000.

“We are a community bank,” said Hunt. “This Community Celebration is one way we hope to show that we are part of the community.”

The event was a combined community celebration with the Peoples Bank Branch at East Point in Coshocton.

“We wanted to thank our customers for giving us the opportunity for them to be our customers and show them our appreciation,” said Debbie Shryock, East Point branch manager. “It’s to get everyone together and have a good time.”
