Philip “Brent” Bechtol
Philip “Brent” Bechtol, 51, of Coshocton passed away Saturday January 14, 2023 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio on March 24, 1971.
Brent graduated from River View High School and Zane State College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has previously worked for AK Steel and was currently working for Coshocton Pallett and Door. Brent was a Jack-of-all-trades and if he didn’t know how to do something he would figure it out. He taught his nephew, Trace, how to build his own computer, he loved spending time with his granddaughter, Aubriella. He also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, camping, and just being outdoors.
Brent is survived by his daughter Mikyla (Cody Philabaum) Bechtol of Coshocton; parents Philip and Lynda (Carroll) Bechtol of Coshocton; brother Adam (Jessica) Bechtol of Coshocton; sister Kalyn (Joseph) Roberts of New Philadelphia; granddaughter Aubriella Philabaum; nieces and nephew Trace, Gabriella, and Meredith; best friends Shane Mitchell and Tony English; special cousins April and Richard Guilliams; aunt Kay Dunfee; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Omer and Hazel Bechtol and Forbes and Dolly Carroll; and Uncles Jerry Dunfee, Mark “Pee-Wee” Carroll, and Mike Carroll
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Thursday January 19, 2023 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery. An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
