Phyllis J. Courtright

COSHOCTON – Phyllis J. Courtright, 86, of Coshocton passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at Lafayette Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Coshocton County on March 24, 1931 to the late Albert J. and Arta M. (Turner) Holder.

She graduated from Coshocton High School in 1949 and worked for JJ Newberry Company for 17 years, River Greens Golf Course for 10 years, and Hickory Flatts Golf Course for 14 years. She married her husband, Art on March 20, 1964.

Phyllis is survived by her twin sons Gene (Rebecca) Courtright and Jeffrey Courtright both of Conesville; daughter Denise Posey of Coshocton; Step children Michael (Cathy) Courtright of Coshocton and Diana (Bob) Matlock of Oregon; three grandchildren; one great granddaughter; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Arthur E. Courtright whom passed away May 8, 2002; three sisters, Margaret Udder, Edna Holder, and Mary Hilton; brothers Clyde and Glen Holder; twin granddaughters and a nephew.

A graveside service will be held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 11:00am with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Coshocton County REACT or the Handicap Society.
