Plainfield man charged with child abuse

COSHOCTON – On Aug. 18, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an alleged child abuse incident and an investigation began. Detectives and Children Services were called in to assist with the investigation and the safety of any potential victims.

On Aug. 21, detectives from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant of a residence in the 100 block of Commercial Ave. in Plainfield within our county.

Also on Aug. 21, Jeffery D. Ellis, 33 years old and from the Plainfield area, was formally charged with two counts of rape, a felony of the first degree.
