Pop in and Paint is offered at Rust Decor

| December 8, 2022

Jill Sheridan, owner of Rust Decor, said she had seen pop in, and paint offered in bigger towns and saw no reason it couldn’t be done here in Coshocton, too. “It’s something fun for people to do here,” she said.

“You come in and pick your project. We have more than 50 ceramic projects and wooden ones, too. Each project is priced, and you sit here and use our supplies and paint your project,” Sheridan said.

She said she has plenty of options for younger children to do, too. There is no age limit for the Pop in and Paint area, except for Friday evenings. “During the school day, we are less busy. You don’t need an appointment – just stop in and paint.”

The store is open Wednesday – Sunday from 10 a.m. to  4 and painting is available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Friday evenings, from 4-7 p.m., it is adults only time and guests are welcome to BYOB. “I have a few snacks here that can be purchased, but you can bring your own snacks, too.” There is room for 12 in the pop in and paint area.

Sheridan also has a private workshop that seats 16. This room can be rented for $50 for two hours and you can bring your own food with you.  The room is perfect for birthday parties, work parties or a girls’ night out. “I’m already getting calls to book the room for January.” This area is also used as an overflow space if there are more people that have popped in to paint.

Rust Decor also offers private workshops, such as for wreaths, glitter tumblers and macramé. Visit rustdecorshop.com for a list of available workshops or to sign up.  You can also fill out an information sheet about reserving the private room.  Sheridan said she will call everyone to confirm details. You can also call the store at 740-295-9837. The workshops and to reserve the workroom for a private party are the only reservations that need to be made. You can pop in and paint any time you want with no appointment.
