Poster contest winners named
Fifth grade teachers and students participated in the annual fifth grade poster contest sponsored by the Coshocton Soil and Water Conservation District. The students prepared entries in the 2021 conservation poster contest theme “Have you Eaten Any Soil Lately” after a video presentation on how all our food can be traced back to the soil.
Fifteen best of class entries were on display at the Coshocton SWCD fair display and judged by the public to determine the top three posters. A total of 677 eligible votes were cast.
Tatum Berry of Warsaw Elementary took the first place $25 cash prize and won a pizza party for her class, Mrs. McClain is her teacher. Ezekiel Kaku of Conesville Elementary took the second place $15 cash prize and won an ice cream party for his class, Mr. Martin is his teacher. Baylee Smith of Ridgewood Middle School took the third place $10 cash prize and also won an ice cream party for her class, Mrs. McKibbon is her teacher.
