Pregnancy distress center expands hours

| January 10, 2019

COSHOCTON – The Coshocton Pregnancy Distress Center at 819 Main St. announced that it will now be open every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon in addition to its regular hours of 6 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday.

President Sally Ellis explained the reasoning behind the change. “People have such crazy schedules these days,” she said. “We’re hoping to make it a little easier to come and see us.”

The center offers gently used maternity and baby clothing, as well as diapers, cribs, and layettes.  Other items such as strollers or high chairs are available as they are donated and information on car seats and other services is also available.

“It’s gratifying to see our clients’ relief when they realize that we have something they need,” said Patty Thompson, secretary/treasurer of the non-profit group. “The community has been very supportive with their donations and we appreciate that so much.”

The center continues to offer appointments on other days when needed. For more information, call the center’s helpline at 740-622-3808.
