Presbyterian Church to share musical

| December 13, 2012

COSHOCTON – Members of the Crusaders and Carol Choirs will present the new Christmas musical, “O Little Christmas Town,” as part of the 10:30 a.m. worship on Sunday, Dec. 16, at The Presbyterian Church, North Fourth and Chestnut streets.

Featured Bethlehem characters include John Brems, Jacob Heading, Sarah Heading, Hayden Kilchenman, Morgan Lawrence, Kiera McPeck, Elizabeth Mikulik, Maggie Myers and Lukas Sycks, with help from Ellie Brems, Courtney Snyder and Justin Swails.

The delightful children’s musical focuses on God’s ultimate plan for the town of Bethlehem. At times the dialogue is lighthearted, and at other times profound, as the citizens of Bethlehem share the news of the Messiah’s birth. Musicians include Ann E. Leppla, piano, and Caroline S. Heading, keyboard, and the stage director and choreographer is Erin R. Jobes, the church’s director of Christian education.  Kimberly W. Hayes and Charles R. Snyder are the musical directors and Mindy Brems is in charge of costumes.

Other musical leadership this Sunday will be provided by Moving Spirit, the young men’s quartet; the church’s Cherub Choir, led by Sharon V. Sutton and Dee Lynn Grace; Westminster Ringers, the adult handbell choir; and Mark D. Wagner, organist. Caroline Heading will join Mr. Wagner for a rousing piano and organ postlude.

Pastor Jonathan T. Carlisle will serve as the liturgist, and the lighting of the third candle of the Advent wreath will be led by David and Patti Wiley.

All are invited to join in this worship celebration. Preschool childcare is provided and ample parking is available.
