Pursuit ends on TR 212

On Nov. 18, 2020 at approximately 4:55 a.m. an officer with the West Lafayette Police Department was on patrol when they came upon a suspicious vehicle at the storage units in the 700 block of North Kirk Street. Before West Lafayette Police Department contacted this vehicle, a male and female got into a Cadillac sedan, cream in color and fled the area at a high rate of speed. It was later found that multiple storage units had been broken into.

At 5:09 a.m., a deputy with the sheriff’s office located a vehicle matching the description a short distance from the incident location. Once locating this vehicle, it attempted to flee the area again at a high rate of speed. A trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol joined in the pursuit after traveling onto State Route 83 in Keene Township. After approximately a 14 minute pursuit throughout the eastern end of the county, this vehicle lost control, causing it to crash on Township Road 212 in Millcreek Township. A male passenger identified as Seth Pasterchek was placed under arrest. The female driver, later identified as Tarah Hann of Rittman, fled on foot in which she was apprehended a short time later and placed under arrest. Hann had multiple warrants for her arrest including Wayne and Summit County. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Assisting Deputies at the scene was the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Coshocton County EMS, and Prince’s Wrecker Service. This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office and the West Lafayette Police Department.
