Rachel Garber

Rachel Garber, age 89, of Coshocton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was born on October 29, 1934, to the late Donis and Mary Louise (Schott) Foster.

On December 9, 1967, Rachel married Kenneth Garber who survives. She was a member of Prairie Chapel Methodist Church and was involved with many church activities including, being the church Treasurer, the church Financial Secretary, singing in the church choir, and helping with the Bereavement Committee. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and reading both biographies and autobiographies.

Rachel is survived by husband of 55 years, Kenneth, her daughter, Lynn Garber of Coshocton; twin brother, Richard Foster of Newark, brother-in-law, Raymond Wright of Coshocton and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by her two brothers, John and Sam Foster and three sisters, Donna Kuhn, Jennie Laughlin and Mary Wright.

Calling hours were held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. Funeral Services followed at the Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Pastor Matt Wilson and Pastor Dale Parrish officiating. Burial was held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
