Raymond C. Thomas
Raymond Cletus Thomas, 75, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville.
He was born Jan. 13, 1947 in Coshocton Co. to the late Earl Cletus and Lois Mildred (Wright) Thomas. He served in the US Air Force from 1965-1969. He retired from the former Pretty Products plant after 38 years of service.
Raymond loved to hunt, and fishing in the pond he built. He always enjoyed being outdoors and was a hard-working man. He could often be found on his tractor or running a chainsaw at the home place. He enjoyed wood-working, and golfing with his brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Catherine J. (Wesney) Thomas of West Lafayette, whom he married Oct. 31, 1969; two sons, Aaron (Shannon) Thomas of Coshocton, and Shawn Thomas of West Lafayette; grandchildren, Alli (Nick) Hatfield, Kelsey, Ryley, & Alyssa Thomas, and Makita (John) Fisher; great-grandchildren, Owen, Cole, & Beau Hatfield, Mikee & Zoee D’Ostroph, and Klayton, Rylan, Jurnee, Bexlynn, & Cashton Fisher; brothers, Delbert (Grace) Thomas of Coshocton, Forrest (Nancy) Thomas of London Mills, IL, and Daniel Thomas of Dresden; a sister, Judy (Jerry) Asire of Newark; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Thomas; a sister, Barbara Hahn; and several in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2022 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
