Rebecca J. ‘Becky’ Lowe
Rebecca J. “Becky” Lowe, 66, of Coshocton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday February 23, 2016. Becky was born in Zanesville, Ohio on September 30, 1949.
She was a long time businesswoman owning and operating many businesses throughout her life, including: Earth-n-Wares, Main St. Station, 3rd St. Station, Dresden Pottery, Worthington Pottery, Three Rivers Pottery, Islands of Adventure (Universal Studios), Liberty Paint Your Own, Liberty Clothing, Liberty Lady, Liberty Pottery and Ohio State of Mind.
Becky’s love of her family was most important to her, she never missed an event for her grandchildren and you could always find Becky helping her daughter at dance competitions representing Miss Jennifer’s Dance Studio. Becky’s generous and kind spirit was evident to everyone she met. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, entertaining, reading, theater, friends, music and traveling with her husband.
Becky is survived by her devoted husband Dennis J. Lowe; her loving daughter Jennifer (Scott) Nelson of Coshocton; mother Joan McHenry of Cambridge; three grandchildren Madelyn, Tucker and Brooklyn Nelson; siblings Dave (Michelle) McHenry of Coshocton, Sharon (John) Luskevich of Cambridge, Beth (Greg) Clark and Amy (Steve) Hamilton both of Coshocton; brothers and sisters in law Jennifer (Howard) Martin of Kansas City, Lynda (Joe) Berman of Athens, Rick Lowe of Millersburg, Myra (Joe) Leeper of Smithville and Jerry (Carol) Lowe of Creston; nieces and nephews Zack McHenry, John-Michael Luskevich, Adam Clark, Abby Clark Morgan and Lacey Vickers, Barclay Martin, Doozie Martin, Nate Lowe, Michael Lowe, Ryan Leeper, Jeremy Lowe and Brittany Lowe.
Becky is preceded in death by her father Ted McHenry; father and mother in law Homer and Nadine Lowe; a niece Ashley Hamilton and nephew Brock Hamilton.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday March 1, 2016 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A memorial service for Becky will be held at The Presbyterian Church, 142 N. 4th St., Coshocton on Wednesday at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Jonathan T. Carlisle officiating. Interment will take place a later date in Oak Hill Family Cemetery in Holmes County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Coshocton County Animal Shelter, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
