Recent burglaries investigated

COSHOCTON – On Feb. 13 in the early evening hours, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office began investigations into multiple daytime burglaries in the city of Coshocton.

On Feb. 14, four adult men were taken into custody in reference to this ongoing investigation. Detectives were also able to locate and recover multiple stolen items, including several firearms.

On Feb. 15, three of the men were officially charged with felonies in relation to this investigation.

David A. Smith Jr., a 24-year-old male from the Coshocton area, was charged with tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree.  Randal C. Turner, 38 years old, and Michael A. Murray, 19 years old, both from the Coshocton area, were charged with burglary, a felony of the third degree. Additional charges are anticipated after the completed case is reviewed by the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office is assisting the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office with this very active and on-going investigation.
