RHS and RVHS girls’ teams advance
CARROLLTON – Ridgewood and River View’s girls’ golf teams played Sept. 28 at Carroll Meadows Golf Course in Carrollton, which hosted the Girls Division II Sectional Tournament.
Ridgewood’s team score was 381. Individual scores were – Sadie Wilson, 80; Lexi Zimmer, 88; Brianna Brady, 104; and Sydney Matis, 109.
River View’s team score was 356. Their individual scores were: Marie Stufflebean – 79 (third individual); Emma Anderson – 86; Peyton Werntz – 94; Shelby Byland – 97; and Kailyn Shalosky – 105.
Ridgewood placed sixth at the tournament and River View came in third. The top six teams and individuals advance to the district tournament on Oct. 2 at Cambridge Country Club. This is the first time in program history that RHS has advanced to districts as a team.
