Ribbon cutting held at Dr. Reed’s office

| November 24, 2020
Coshocton welcomed a new dentist to the area with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 20.
Dr. Allison Reed recently purchased the dental practice from Dr. Todd Salman at 229 S. Fourth St. in Coshocton. Dr. Reed and husband Evan are from the Columbus area. The Reeds moved here two months ago. “We planned on moving here someday but it was a little sooner than we planned. The pandemic moved things up a bit.” Dr. Reed has roots in the area as her parents Ken Colvin and Rhonda Woodrum Colvin grew up in the same neighborhood on Locust Street . They moved to Johnstown when her dad started working for Anheuser-Busch.
The dental staff is the same. “They have all been here a long time with the shortest employees time being five years. We’re trying to keep things the same. We want our customers to feel comfortable. We’re all family owned – not corporate. My husband takes care of the administrative part and the background stuff so that I can focus on the dental part. We always welcome new patients. We try to make everyone as comfortable as possible. The only thing new is the Intra Oral Scanner, a device used  for capturing direct optical impressions in dentistry. The optical impressions reduce patient discomfort and  are time-efficient and simplify  procedures, eliminating plaster models.”
Mayor Mark Mills thanked everyone for attending and welcomed their new business to the city. “It’s great that you are continuing Dr. Salman’s business. We’re looking forward to more beautiful smiles.”
