Ribbon cutting held at Waterworks Park

| April 29, 2024

West Lafayette hosted a ribbon cutting for Waterworks Park on April 27.  It has been home to Ridgewood Rec ball diamonds for years but many new features have been added over the last several months.

A Neighborhood Revitalization Grant paid for the additions of a playground, marked paved parking, and a picnic shelter. Big thank you to all of the efforts and coordination with that especially to Tammy Hicks for her extra attention to that project’s details.
Hubie Cushman and Kevin Ely volunteered their time to mark a trail on the hillside and the Coshocton County Career Center’s Natural Resources team helped clear that trail.
WE R WL collaborated with the Coshocton County Career Center building trades class and Fresno Fab to offer sponsored benches to community members. They look great and offer seating around the park for various events and functions.
WE R WL also organized trees to be planted around the park in honor of or in memory of community members or businesses.  The efforts from The Garden Patch and Fresno Fab are greatly appreciated. A special tree at the entrance of the park was dedicated to Councilman Ron Lusk for his years serving the Village of West Lafayette in every opportunity.
