Richard Britton “Dick” Jackson
Richard Britton “Dick” Jackson, 81, of Coshocton passed away at 5:40 P.M. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Cardinal Retirement Village in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Born December 30, 1933 in Cambridge, Dick was the son of the late Vinna Violet (Britton) Jackson.
A 1951 graduate of Byesville High School, Dick served as a Private First Class in the U. S. Army from May 28, 1956 to May 8, 1958 with overseas duty in Japan.
He will long be remembered as the Laboratory Manager at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital serving 33 years before retiring in 1999. Dick was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Dick was preceded in death by his beloved wife Elizabeth “Libby” (Nugent) Jackson and a son Christopher Patrick Jackson.
Surviving are a daughter Mary Elizabeth Jackson and son-in-law Jeff Regensburger; step-grandson Geoffrey all of Columbus; and a son Eric R. Jackson and daughter-in-law Rebecca Jackson and their daughters Libby and Katie all of Cuyahoga Falls.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 31, 2015, at Sacred Heart Church in Coshocton. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M., Monday at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cambridge, Ohio where military honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
