Richard “Dick” D. Hughes

COSHOCTON – Richard “Dick” D. Hughes, 63, of Coshocton passed away at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville on Friday January 19, 2018.

Dick was born in Coshocton on August 11, 1954 to the late Eugene and Margaret (Walker) Hughes.  He graduated from River View High School, class of 1973 and had retired from Cabot’s Lumber after over forty years of service.  Dick enjoyed working on old cars doing body work, watching and feeding birds at his home and he loved watching WWE wrestling.

Dick is survived by his wife Angela J. (Callahan) Hughes whom he married March 29, 1976; three sons Donnie (Chasity) Hughes, Jason (McKenzie) Hughes and Justin Hughes all of Coshocton; daughter Glenda (Mike) Hughes of Coshocton; two brothers Gary (Tammy) Hughes and Chuck Hughes of Coshocton; ten grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Henry; a grandson; one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday January 24, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM where funeral services for Dick will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Andy Loos officiating.  Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
