Richard E. Tubaugh

Richard E. Tubaugh, 74, of Coshocton, Oh, died on May 21, 2021 at OSU Wexner Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born on January 4, 1947 in Malvern, Oh to the late Russell and Virginia (Earley) Tubaugh. On September 17, 1986, he married Brenda K. (Painter) Tubaugh, who survives. Richard acquired his Master’s in School Counseling. He spent his life as an educator, coach, guidance counselor, and mentor to countless people. He never knew a stranger and always had a great story to tell. He has always had a love of sports especially the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns.

Along with his wife, Richard is survived by his five children, Carrie Tubaugh of Columbus, Oh, Molly (Eric) Puckett of Bluefield, Va, Michael (Jessica) McKee of Zanesville, Oh, Stephen (Hallie) McKee of Kalkaska, Mi., and Patricia (Zack) Noon of Coshocton, Oh.; grandchildren, Adrian, Gideon, Seth, Tommy, Eli, Evelyn, Noah and Xander McKee and LeeAnn Noon; brother, Roger Tubaugh of Fl.; his mother-in-law, Patricia (Bob) Dantzer of Seven Lakes, NC sister-in-law, Carol Shuey of Columbus, Oh.,  and daughter-in-law, Sarah McKee, as well as cousins, several nieces and nephews and many friends and students that he has taught over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Marvin Richard Painter; son, Christopher McKee and one grandson, Michael Jacob McKee.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home beginning at 1pm.
