Richard L. Buxton
WARSAW- Richard Lee “Rick” Buxton, 63, of CR 383, died Tuesday Jan. 7, 2014 at the Ohio State University Hospital East in Columbus.
He was born Aug. 29, 1950 in Mt. Vernon to the late George Alfred Buxton and Leota Leona (Totten) Buxton Phillips. He was the owner & operator of RB Drilling. He bred and raised whitetail deer on his property, and he loved to go hunting, especially with his grandsons. He was a good neighbor and a great friend. He helped people in times of need and he touched many lives.
He is survived by three children; Andrea (Doug) Fry of Coshocton, Laurie (Dave) Melick of Newark, and Derrick (Rachael) Buxton of Warsaw, two sisters; Kathy (Joe) Mapes of Mt. Vernon, and Ethel (Michael) Mapes of Ovid, MI, eight grandchildren; Brett & Bryce Fry, Connor, Logan & Elise Melick, and Brodey, Audrey, & Wesley Buxton, and the mother of his children, Nancy Buxton of Coshocton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday Jan. 11, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Dave Fowls officiating. Burial will follow in New Guilford Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday Jan. 10th at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
