Richard V. “Dick” Tatten

USFlagSunlightHC1311_X_300_C_YRichard V. “Dick” Tatten, age 88, of Coshocton, Went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. He was born on May 3, 1928 in Coshocton County to the late Theodore and Gladys (Croy) Tatten. Dick joined the United States Navy in 1945 and proudly served his country.

He enjoyed fishing, traveling to all 50 states, telling stories and spending time with his family and friends.

Dick is survived by his longtime companion, Audrey Varnes,  his three children, Dick Tatten of Coshocton, Jody Crawford of Arizona, and Pamela McCann Tatten Smith of Virginia; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Dick will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at Given-Dawson Funeral Home with Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
