Ridgewood ties Triway
WOOSTER – In girls soccer, Ridgewood played to a 0-0 tie with Wooster Triway.
Sam Moore and the Ridgewood defense recorded their second shutout of the season. Moore had six saves in goal including a pair of stops on breakaways.
“Sam and the defense made some huge stops,” said coach Casey Claxon. “We also battled through a few injuries and got some quality minutes off the bench.”
Claxon praised the efforts of defenders Stormie Curry, Maddy Jones, Hollie Schwab, Winter Preston, Brianna Grace and Kyra Gephart.
Triway held a 12-7 advantage in shots.
Mariah Cruise made five saves for the Lady Titans.
Ridgewood improved to 3-1-1 and will host Columbus East at 11 a.m. Saturday.
