Ridgewood tops Sandy Valley
WEST LAFAYETTE – Ridgewood High School volleyball topped Sandy Valley Aug. 26.
The junior varsity won in two 25-21, 25-22. Autumn Brown lead with 16 points and Megan Sharier had seven points.
The varsity took it in three, 25-15, 25-17,25-9.
Laura Crawford had 12 points, three aces, six kills and eight digs. Erika Michael and 13 points, three aces, eight digs and 34 assist. Allie Dobson had eight kills and six blocks. Amanda Lowery had four blocks, 10 points and three kills. Laura Frazee had seven kills, five points and one block. Morgan McDorman had 10 digs and two assists and Roni Roberts had seven digs.
“They played hard, never let up, ran their plays, and showed great communication,” said Head Coach Kayla Crozier. “These ladies play with a lot of heart and it is fun to watch and coach. Opening night showed great promise for this season. I am very proud of how the girls came out and played tonight.”
