River View swim opens season with win

COSHOCTONThe River View swim teams opened their season by defeating host Coshocton, and Heath at the Janet Jones Mulligan Natatorium on Tuesday Nov. 27.

Winning their events on the girls team were Katie Hardesty in the 200 (2:46.17) and 100 (1:15.53) Free, Lindsey Ashcraft in the 200 Individual Medley (2:56.59) and the 100 Breast (1:28.84), Carolyn Cox in the 100 Back (1:19.85), the Medley Relay (2:25.40) and the 200 Free Relay (2:11.25) of Cox, Ashcraft, Josie Fornara, and Rachel Vandenbark, and the 400 Free Relay (5:16.67) of Hardesty, Paige Shroyer, Kyara Roberts, and Fornara.

For the boys, Reas Pepper won the 200 IM (2:44.80), Lincoln Shroyer won the 50 Free (29.96), Cole Tatro won the 100 Fly (1:14.36), Brady Philabaum won the 100 Back (1:17.96), Brayden Karr won the 100 Breast (1:26.54), the relay of Philabaum, Karr, Tatro, and Pepper won the 200 Medley (2:13.50), Karr, Coen Bible, Cale Bible, and Pepper won the 200 Free Relay (2:00.90), and JT Roberts, Tatro, and Cale and Coen Bible won the 400 Free Relay (4:38.71).

The Redskins had first place finishes from Bella Hall in the 50 Free (33.59), Payton Modlin in the 100 Fly (1:23.77), and Autumn Jones in the 400 Free (6:06.02).
