Robert ‘Bob’ Allen Wright
Robert “Bob” Allen Wright, age 69, of West Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023. He was born on September 24, 1953 in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Marie (Snyder) Wright.
He graduated from River View High School in 1971 and then married Jill (Strasser) Wright on February 14, 1976. Bob worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and later as a Forman at Apache Aggregate and Paving Company for 25 years before retiring in 2001.
Bob was a member of The Word of Worship Center in Coshocton. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and training dogs. He was a football and little league coach for 30 years and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jill Wright; son, Bob (Michelle) Wright of West Lafayette; five grandchildren, Tyler, Everly Jo, Irelynn Rose, Charlotte and Grey; sister, Theresa (Bob) Wells of Chillicothe and brother, John (Kathy) Wright of Coshocton; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Wright and two brothers, Brent and David Wright.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service followed at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with John Strasser officiating. Burial followed at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to Community Hospice- Truman House, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
