Robert W. Manson Sr.

Robert William Manson, Sr., 80, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 3, 1940, in Columbus to the late Theodore “Ted” and Gertrude (Lambert) Manson. He was a 1958 graduate of Coshocton High School, and later attended Ohio University. He spent most of his early years in Nelsonville, and retired from General Electric in 1984 as an engineer.

Bob had many hobbies, including Ham radio, restoring antique radios, and genealogy, including a book on his mom’s Lambert side of the family and research into the Manson family and marking many graves in cemeteries. He struggled with Diabetes most of his life, but was always busy with one of his many hobbies and interests until health problems prevented him from doing so.

He is survived wife, Linda D. (Wilt) Manson of Coshocton, whom he married Feb. 16, 1962; and a daughter, Renee (John) Groeneveld of Maryland Heights, MO.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a son, Robert W. Manson, Jr., who died April 10, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Rev. Dairel Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
