Ron L. Shaw
WARSAW- Ronald Lee Shaw, 54, of TR 346, died Tuesday Aug. 27, 2013 at Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 7, 1958 in Coshocton to C. Kenneth and Alice F. (Darr) Shaw.
He was a 1976 graduate of River View High School, and in 1980 he graduated from The Ohio State University with a major in Agriculture Economics, and a specialty in finances and taxes. He was a former employee of Shriner’s Farm in Killbuck before his disability.
Ron loved horses. He was active in the Shaw Quarter Horse Sale at the Coshocton Co. Fairgrounds, where he has shown horses for over 45 years. He was a life-time member of the American Quarter Horse and Ohio Quarter Horse Associations, past-president of the Muskingum Saddle Club, and past-president and past-treasurer of the Silver Bar Saddle Club.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Shaw, whom he married on Dec. 31, 2011, his parents, C. Kenny & Alice Shaw, and a nephew, Michael Shaw, all of Warsaw.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Shaw, a sister, Lori (Shaw) Mozena, and his grandparents; Ralph & Helen Darr, and W.C. Shaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday Aug. 30, 2013 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Jim Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Thursday Aug. 29 at the funeral home, www.fischerfuneralhome.com.
