Ronald R. “Bob” Wilson

COSHOCTON – Ronald R. “Bob” Wilson, 77, of Coshocton passed away at his home on Friday May 11, 2018.

Bob was born in Conesville, Ohio on March 11, 1941 to the late Gail and Ida (Parks) Wilson.  He graduated from Coshocton High School and retired from Pretty Products as a press operator for 45 ½ years.

He was Christian man faithfully serving in the Grace United Methodist Church where he was very active as an usher, children’s group leader and in numerous other areas of the church.  He was a lifetime member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge where was a past secretary and trustee; Bob would volunteer his time at the Elks anywhere he was needed without asking.  Many members will always remember his time spent cooking at the fish fry events and the Elks golf league.  Bob was also a member of the Coshocton Moose and Eagles Lodges, and devoted his time to Relay for Life, Community Meals, selling tickets to the Coshocton County Fair and many other community events.  He enjoyed sports including slow pitch softball, bowling and especially playing golf.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years Sandra S. “Sandy” Wilson whom he married October 22, 1960; children Robert B. (Laura) Wilson and family, Troy L. Wilson and Tiffani L. Wilson all of Coshocton; granddaughter Alyssa Wilson; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers Donald G. and H. Dean Wilson.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday May 16, 2018 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  The Coshocton Elks Lodge will be performing an Elks service Wednesday at 7:00 PM.  Funeral services for Bob will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Keith Peachey and Pastor Bill Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Community Hospice of Coshocton and/or Coshocton Elks Lodge Building Fund, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
