Ronald ‘Ron’ Beck
Ronald “Ron” Beck, 84, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, at Signature Healthcare in Coshocton. He was born in Lakawanna, NY on June 16, 1937, to the late Robert F. and Irene B. (Sage) Beck.
Ron was a 1956 graduate of Coshocton High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. After returning from the Air Force, he began working at General Electric for 36 years before retiring. Ron enjoyed woodworking. He made many pieces of furniture for his home and his children’s homes. He also enjoyed attending auctions with his best friend Ronnie Adkins. Ron was a very friendly man and enjoyed talking to everyone, he never met a stranger. He was a very loving family man and husband. He and his wife, Pat, enjoyed going to the Eagles Lodge three times a week to get breakfast.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia (Spring) Beck; children, Rick Beck of Coshocton and Brenda (Jeff) Rothenstine of Fresno; grandchildren, Christie (Chris) Farney – Beck, R.J. Beck, Jessica (Matt) Longsinger, and Lindsey (Justin) Nelson; great-grandchildren, Taylor Berry, Rayden and Zayvian Farney, Emilia, Leo, and Luke Longsinger, and Calvin J. Nelson; siblings, Robert (Maryann) Beck Jr of Texas and Irene (Jim) Cook of Sebring, OH.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Russell Beck
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens where the Coshocton County Veterans Council will be performing Military Honors.
