Ronald “Ron” Lusk Sr.

Ronald “Ron” Lusk Sr., 84, of West Lafayette, passed away at his son’s home on February 23, 2024.  He was born in Troy, Ohio on October 19, 1939 to the late Kenneth L. and Dorothy V. (Glick) Lusk.

Ron worked as a truck driver and owned multiple business over his lifetime including Panther Path, Village Pizza Shop, Mug & Jug, and Wagon Wheel Pizza. He served in the Army National Guard for 20 years and was on the City of Coshocton Police Auxiliary and was retired from the West Lafayette Fire Department and Village Council. Ron was an avid golfer and played in the VIP Golf League. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.

Ron is survived by his children Ronald “Robin” (Jamie) Lusk Jr. of Warsaw, Tommy Lusk of Coshocton, Kris Lusk of Newark, and Shannon (Chad) Hains of West Lafayette; grandchildren Jordan (Sarah) Lusk, Ali (Tyler) Bradford, Kristi (Beau) Timmons, Shaylene, Devin (Samantha), Haley, Maddi, and Jake Lusk, Jaelee Freetage and Kody and Bryce Hains; great grandchildren Kipton Sinden, Josie Zornes, Gavin, Braxton, and Emma  Phillips, Ariella, Carson, Grey, and Layla Lusk, Harper and Sy Timmons; and his twin brother Donald (Judy) Lusk of West Lafayette.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra (Morrison) Lusk, who passed in 2019; daughter Stacey Freetage; and sister Donna (Tom) Heaton.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Tuesday February 27, 2024 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Funeral services for Ron will be Wednesday at 11:00 with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed towards Genesis Hospice and Morrison Hospice House; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
