Ronald “Ron” R. Hess

COSHOCTON – Ronald “Ron” R. Hess, age 70, of Coshocton, peacefully departed from this life at the Truman Hospice House in New Philadelphia on Friday, June 1, 2018.

Ron was born in Ripley, West Virginia on October 10, 1947 to Alonzo “Lonnie” and Catherine “Kitty” Hess. He graduated from West Lafayette High School in 1965 and went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1965-1968. Ron worked as an engineer for over 30 years for Stone Container. He held several offices and was a life member of the VFW Post 1330, the Am Vets #36, the American Legion #65, and the Army Navy Garrison 628. He was also a member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge 935 and the Coshocton Eagles Lodge 761. Ron was a proud member of the Browns Backers of Coshocton and he was also a big fan of Ohio State University football.

Ron is survived by his loving partner, Holly Hill, and her daughters, Blair and Ciarra, mother, Catherine “Kitty” Hess, brother, Thomas (Sandy) Hess, daughter, Susie (Graham) Jones, two sons, Bill Hess and James (Bo) Hess, several nieces and nephews, and several grandchildren.

Ron is preceded in death by his father, Alonzo “Lonnie” Hess, brother, Jerald Hess, and sister-in-law, Patricia Hess.

Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 12-1 pm. Funeral services will beginning at 1 pm on Thursday with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
