Roscoe offering weaving workshop
The Roscoe Village Foundation will offer a beginner weaving workshop class on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
The village’s main weaver Rami will instruct each participant on portable looms. Each participant will make two mug rugs to take home. The cost for these classes is $35 for non-members, and $30 for members. This class will be held in the loom loft located in the schoolhouse building. Please note that there are steps to get to the loom loft. It is recommend to bring a drink and a light snack. Requirements for these classes are 10 years of age or older.
The art of weaving is an age-old art. Learn the history of weaving as you make your very own keepsake to take with you. This wonderful hands-on experience is made possible through a generous grant from the Simpson Family Foundation.
