Gray, Rose005COSHOCTON- Rose Marie Gray passed away peacefully on September 9, 2016. She was 105 years young.

Rose was born in Haverhill, MA on April 6, 1911 to Florence and Phillip LeBlanc. In 1912 they moved to Nova Scotia, Canada until moving back to Lynn, MA at age 11, where she learned to speak English in school. She married Harry Gray in 1940. She worked at various diners, machine shops, factories, and retired from a photography business when she was 80. She then moved to Coshocton, Ohio where she remained until her passing.

She is survived by her son Robert A. Gray, of Plaistow, NH; her sister Josephine Comeau; her brothers Albert LeBlanc and Alfred LeBlanc, all of Nova Scotia, Canada; and her brother Lionel (Barbara) LeBlanc of British Columbia, Canada. She has 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 9 great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry J. Gray of Lynn, MA; her son John A. Gray of Coshocton, OH; one grandson and one great-grandson.

Rose has a beautiful spirit and bore a strength that is rarely witnessed. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She also faithfully attended her weekly bible studies. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where her son, John was a pastor.

A funeral service to celebrate Rose’s life will take place at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating.  Visitation is one hour prior to service time.  Rose will be buried next to her husband in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, MA later in the week.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
