Ross E. Shaw

Ross Edgar Shaw, 88, formerly of Warsaw, died Monday, June 6, 2022 in Millersburg.

He was born in Blissfield on March 21, 1934 to the late Ross D. and Alice (Williamson) Shaw.

Ross graduated from Warsaw High School in 1952 and was married to Nancy McCormick on Feb. 15, 1958.  He served in Korea from 1955 to 1957.  Upon his return from the Army he was employed at Edmonts in Coshocton for 15 years.  He retired from AK Steel in 1999 after being employed for 32 years.  He was a member of the Clark Township Baptist Church in Blissfield.  He loved to read, travel and animals.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy, two daughters and a son;  Melissa (Louie) Smith of Asheville, NC, Rebecca (Scott) Kuhn of Coshocton, and Ross Todd Shaw of Baxter, TN.  Four grandchildren, Courtney Smith of Lancaster, Zachary Allen of Columbus, April (Christopher) Mealick of New Albany, & Brooke (Zachary) Shaw  of Cincinnati.  Four great grandchildren, Cayden & Adalyn Mealick and Hensley & Haisley Shaw.

He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Floyd Fisher and a granddaughter.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw.   Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at a later date.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
