Rotary fundraiser breaks all-time record
The Coshocton Rotary Club’s 12 Days of Christmas fundraiser broke the all-time record, with a total raised of $25,180. This is an all-time high in 20-plus years of the club’s conducting the project.
Rotary members sold tickets for 12 daily drawings, with prizes donated by local businesses, industries, organizations and local individuals. Club members donated an additional $100 cash to accompany the daily prizes.
Angie Taylor won the grand prize, drawn on the final day, of $3,200 in cash, which was donated by club members. Barb Emmons sold the winning ticket to Taylor.
“It’s important to acknowledge these donors, as it means that all of the money raised can go back into Rotary community projects,” said Cecilia Balogh, club president.
This year’s leadership team for the 12 Days of Christmas project included Bruce Wallace, Cecilia Balogh, Casey Claxon, Shelly Lillibridge, Stephanie Conn, and Jennifer Bush.
The Coshocton Rotary Club was established in 1918 and has been active in numerous community service projects, including parks, court square, fairgrounds, schools, youth programs and numerous other projects.
