Ruby J. Frazee

HOWARD – Ruby J. Frazee, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 13, 2018.

Ruby was born to Lloyd and Dovie Lucille (VanWinkle) Hunter on March 5, 1930. She married Bernard M. Frazee on June of 1948. She spent most of her life in Howard, and worked at the old telephone company in Mount Vernon for a few years, then for 22 years at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center before retiring in 1993. She was a longtime member of the Howard United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her four children who she loved being a mother to; Richard (Pat) Frazee and Nancy Mawer of Howard, Roger (Emma) Frazee of Warsaw, and Michael Frazee (Rita Mullins) of Howard. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Beth Morrow of Grove City, Mauricha (Greg) Marcussen of New Albany, Shawn (Kelly) Frazee of Lewis Center, Brad Mawer of Howard, Kyle (Marla) Frazee of Ashland, David (Emily) McCune of Johnstown, and Andrea Berry, great grandchildren; Jason Morrow, Benton Marcussen, Skylar (Bree) Frazee, Corbin Marcussen, Preston Frazee, Nathan Berry, Blake Frazee, Nolan and Winston Marcussen, Reagan Frazee, Reilly and Caitlin McCune, Alexander Marcussen, Myah Colvin, and Briana Conethan, great-great grandson, Damon Frazee, and her special companion, “Kitty Cat”.

Preceding Ruby in death were her parents, her husband, who died December 16, 1991, her brother, Richard C. Hunter, grandsons; Richie Frazee and Paul Morrow, her special friend of 80 years, Betty Mills, and her favorite dog, “Missy”.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 18 at the Howard United Methodist Church. Rev. Karl Bender will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be from 5-7 Tuesday evening at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.
