Ruby Jean Norris
Ruby Jean Norris, 91, of Coshocton passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
Born July 29, 1923 in Walhonding, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Inez (Sumtimer) Shepard.
Ruby had been a nursing assistant at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital for 20 years.
Ruby was a member of the Church of Christ in Newcomerstown.
She will be missed by her daughter Helen Jean Lower of Coshocton; two granddaughters Capt. Jamey D. Weaver of Ravenna, Shannon L. (Clinton) Lower-Kirker of Coshocton; three great-grandchildren Jenna and Jacob Weaver, Gage Lower; a sister Annabelle Dawson of Bloomington, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband Clifford F. Casteel, second husband Lemert E. Norris, a son Larry Allen Casteel, four brothers Dennis, John, Dale, Bill and a sister Carol Couts.
A private graveside service was held at Union Cemetery in Port Washington at Noon on Thursday, October 30, 2014 with Greg Circle officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memoriums be made to the Ruby J. Norris Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 961, Coshocton, Ohio 43812. Envelopes are available at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton who assisted the family with arrangements.
