Ruth E. (Reed) Patterson
COSHOCTON – Ruth E. (Reed) Patterson, 88, of Coshocton died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at the Coshocton Springs Health & Rehab Center.
She was born June 23, 1928 in Clark Township, Coshocton County to the late Ervy E. and C. Olive (Fox) Reed.
She was a 1947 graduate of Clark High School. She worked at the former Newberry’s and J.C. Penney’s stores in Coshocton. Ruth was a member of the Conesville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed travelling and wintering in Texas. She also enjoyed square dancing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, bowling, and golf.
She is survived by her husband, Orin Dean Patterson, whom she married Oct. 8, 1949. Also surviving is her daughter, Wanda (Randy) Zehner of Conroe, TX. Her son, Kenneth (Pamela) Patterson of Coshocton. A granddaughter, Stacey (Chuck) Hirsch, a grandson, Corey (McCamie) Patterson. Two step granddaughters, Stacy Zehner & Stephanie (Michael) Langer. Two great grandchildren, Logan & McKenna Hirsch, and two step great grandsons, Kolten & Keegan Langer. A sister, Doris Swoveland of Blissfield and a brother, Robert (Mary) Reed of Coshocton and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a half-brother, Ernie Reed.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastors Karen & Phil Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Blissfield Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. and until service time on Wednesday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
