Guthrie PictureRuth L. Guthrie, 91, of Coshocton passed away Friday November 14, 2014 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1923 to the late Clarence and Myrtle (Clunk) Martin. Ruth worked at Edmonts and was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved baking, sewing and spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Donna (Fred) Shaw of Coshocton; son Larry (Joyce) Guthrie of Kimbolton; sisters Norma Bishop, Rosella Hickman, and Verna Graves; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Carl Guthrie whom she married August 6, 1942; son Richard Guthrie; infant son Gerald Guthrie; brother James Roy Martin; sisters Myrtle Wood, Evelyn Clark, Elva Martin, and Doris Larrick.

Calling Hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home 639 Main St., Coshocton Tuesday November 18, 2014 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at 1:00 PM the funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home for New Hope Cemetery, Adamsville for a graveside committal service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice,” envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
