Ruthie Mae (Conethan) Latham

COSHOCTON – Ruthie Mae (Conethan) Latham, age 80, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017.

Ruthie was born in Brent, Alabama on October 23, 1936 to the late Leander, Sr. and Sarah (Barron) Conethan. Ruthie worked as an inspector for Ohio Fab for 25 years. In 1962, she married Ernest Latham, who survives. Ruthie was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and vacationing in Myrtle Beach.

Along with her husband, Ruthie is survived by her three children: John (Shirley) Latham, Sarah (Sam) Irby, and Marla Latham; six grandchildren: John, Chad, Michael, Prince, Andrew, and Terrell; 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, two siblings, Lena Walker and David Lee (Ethelsteen) Conethan, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Ruthie is preceded in death by six siblings: Eunice Murphy, Eddie Dean Conethan, Willie C. Jones, Dora Lee Gregory, Joyce Coleman, and Leander Conethan, Jr.; one daughter, Ruth Ann Robinson, and one granddaughter, Kelly Latham.

Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017 from 12-1 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Cliff Biggers officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
