RVHS boys take down Maysville in soccer
The River View Boys Soccer team got a big by beating the Maysville Panthers, number one seeded team in the East District Poll 4-1 at River View Soccer Complex to remain undefeated in the league.
Nick Phillips got the Bears first goal off an assist from Remington Graham with 5:42 in the first half and the score would remain 1-0 until halftime. The Bears would come out strong in the second half with Hayden Walters scoring off a ricochet by Camden Albertson and the bears would increase the lead to 2-0. But the Panthers were not done with the fight just yet by getting a goal at the 23:26 mark from Cam Parker making it 2-1. But the Bears would answer back at 20:30 by Cash Guilliams making it 3-1 off an assist by Cael Summers. The Bears would score again at the 7:49 but was called offsides by the Camden Albertson to Parker Andrews connection but would almost immediately answer again at the 7:10 minute mark from Parker Andrews to Camden Albertson making the final 4-1. Layton Massie added eight saves for the Bears.
