Sabrena Weese

Sabrena Weese passed away on May 7th 2022, after a brief illness at OSU Wexner Medical Center. She was 56 years old. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Sabrena stay strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Sabrena.  Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.

In 1983, Sabrena graduated from Coshocton High School. She worked at Longaberger Basket up until she got sick in 2008. She was a very dependent, strong women. She never would let anyone go without anything.

Sabrena was born June 18, 1965 to Hubert Smith and Cynthia (Helton) Hansen in Blairsville, GA. She   raised by her Father Hubert and Wife Joyce. Sabrena is survived by her loving husband David Weese whom she married July 14, 1989. Sabrena was the biological mother of three children; Crystal (John) Gallagher of Warsaw, Amber (Kraig) Todd of West Lafayette, and Cody (Becca) Weese of Coshocton. Sabrena was also a second mother to Tina (TJ Bachman) Ulrich of Coshocton.

Sabrena was a loving and caring grandmother. She considered all kids as her grandchildren. Sabrena was a grandmother to Chaten Gallagher, Caden Gallagher, DiAnna Gallagher, Shawn Beckelhimer, Kolton Beckelhimer, Brooklyn Beckelhimer, Braxton Beckelhimer, Paisley Todd, Arianna Weese, Vinson Weese, and Brantlee Weese. Sabrena was also a grandmother to Raynie Starkey, Tamara Ulrich, Huxley Bachman, Carol Winterringer, and Jacey Riggle. Sabrena was a grandmother who played a special part in all the treasured memories they will hold forever in their heart.

Sabrena was a very loving and caring sibling to 4 brothers and 3 sisters; Mickey Smith, Michael Hamilton, Todd Carroll, Troy Carroll, William Weese (Willy), Tracy Yacapraro, Angie Carroll, Tammy Leigh, Clara Jacobs, Tara Brinkley, Tina, Weese, Rosie Davis, and Norma Greenwood. She had lots of love for her siblings and wouldn’t know what she would have done without them.

Sabrena was preceded in death by her Father Hubert Smith, Mother in-law Mary Weese (Scott), Father in-law William Weese, Andy Weese, George Weese, Virginia Rush (Weese), Grandparents, Aunts, Uncle, Cousins, In-law, and her companion dog “REX”.

Services will be held 5:00 P.M. Thursday, May 11, 2022 at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Young officiating.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.  Per Sabrena’s wishes, cremation will follow.
