Sarah R. Fitzpatrick
Sarah Ruth Fitzpatrick, age 90, of West Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020. She was born on December 5, 1929, in West Virginia to the late Reverend S.F. and Grace (Jackson) Fowler.
On May 15, 1951, Sarah married Leland Fitzpatrick and spent 51 wonderful years together before he passed away on November 14, 2002.
Sarah was a member of Central Christian Church. She loved reading and enjoyed painting but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her three children, Dr. Michael (Laurie) Fitzpatrick of Holland, Ohio, Maureen (Rob) Veitch of West Lafayette and Colleen (Steve) Israel of West Lafayette; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brother Fred (Lucille) Fowler of Oregon; sisters Esther Wilson of Oregon, Vera Steel of Oregon, Gracie O’Grady of Oregon, Nylah Wrezinski of Oregon, Betty Bowman of Apple Creek, Ohio and Ivory Sinclair of Apple Creek, Ohio.
Along with her parents and husband, Sarah is preceded in death by her brother James Fowler, sisters Annie Blecher, Sue Fowler and Isabell Bennett.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 2:00pm at South Lawn Cemetery. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
